XXXXXxxX I began to shoot bike races on a regular basis in 1997 to have something interesting to watch on TV while riding a bike trainer - the winters in upstate NY are long and cold. After destroying several SONY 8 mm analog camcorders in some interesting helmet-cam mtb experiments, I switched to digital SONY TRV 9 and TRV 900. My latest camera is the SONY high definition HDR FX-1, in use since the summer of 2006. After attending hundreds of cycling events (cyclocross, mtb, road, and track) over the years, my video library collection has steadily grown to more than 1000 individual races. Some other high speed colorful sports I like to shoot include motocross and in-line speed skating. The photo is from the epic 2001 Merrimack CX race, also archived on a DVD
